Objectives- Long Term
- Motivate students to develop their own start-ups
- Develop business incubators
- Create corpus fund to seed ventures
- To have strong relationship with alumni for long standing growth of EDC.
- Short Term
- To provide a platform for interaction with entrepreneurs
- Impart entrepreneurial education/skills amongst students through various trainings and exercise
- Arrange vibrant interaction with organizations promoting the cause of entrepreneurship.
- To create awareness among students about various assistance (Financial, Legal, and Marketing etc.) provided to start & carry on a business.
- Mentor students/others who have business ideas by bringing expertise to their doorstep. The EDC would be a networking hub for people aspiring to be entrepreneurs and also play a role in team building as a part of its mentorship. Mentoring the people at an early stage by giving proper direction and necessary exposure would be crucial in converting technical ideas/projects into viable business plans.

- The IEDC Hub of our Institution served as a nodal centre for the successful organization of the Sustainability Hackathon, powered by AIC RAISE on 27.09.2023.The juries of the event were Dr.V G Sumathy Vice President IIC KASC and Dr. M.Thangam, President IIC KASC. 2 teams (out of 11 teams) were cleared their prelims and got selected for the forthcoming rounds.
- IEDC Hub of our Institution in association with AIC RAISE, Coimbatore organized “BOSS TABLE” on 29.10.2023. The jury of the event was Mr. M Arul Raja Assistant Professor, EDC Coordinator KASC. The students were given mentoring regarding the Viability and Market Sustainability.
- IEDC Hub of our Institution in association with AIC RAISE, Coimbatore organized “BOSS TABLE” on 29.11.2023. The jury of the event was Mr. M Arul Raja Assistant Professor, EDC Coordinator KASC. The students were presented their ideas on their own problem statement, with their ideas and impact on the problem.
- Our institution IIC' s IEDC hub in association with AIC RAISE organized Techstars Startup Weekend Sustainability from 1st December 2023 to 3rd December 2023. One student represented our institution.
- AIC RAISE, Coimbatore organized Sustainability Hackathon (Finals), at Coimbatore on December 20, 2023. Nearly 10 students and 2 selected teams from our institution participated in the event, and Team Mind Blenders won the first prize.
- IEDC Hub of our Institution in association with AIC RAISE, Coimbatore organized “BOSS TABLE” on 24.12.2023. The jury of the event was Mr. M Arul Raja Assistant Professor, EDC Coordinator KASC. Nearly 10 students presented their ideas on Global SDG’s.
- IEDC Hub of our Institution in association with AIC RAISE, Coimbatore organized “PRE-INCUBATION” on 10.01.2024. The jury of the event was Mr. M Arul Raja Assistant Professor, EDC Coordinator KASC. Nearly 15 students presented their ideas on Global SDG’s.
- AIC RAISE Coimbatore organized “AIM for Institutions” Event in AIC RAISE's campus on 17th August 2022.Innovation Hub Faculty Dr. J. Ghayathri and Dr. G. Karthi of our institution had actively participated in it representing our Institution.
- AIC RAISE and Start Up India organized a series of sessions “How to start a startup?” on January 11,12 & 13 2023 in observance of National Start Ups Day.The Resource persons were Ms. Megabharathi, Founder Aganalam; Ms.S. Sowmya, Founder Nirguna and Mr.Abishek Aravindan, Partner at Grad & Company.IEDC of our institution motivated our students to participate enthusiastically in this virtual meet.
- AIC Raise, Coimbatore organized the competition ‘Women Can 2.0’ in observance of International Women’s Day on 8th March 2023. IEDC of our Institution motivated our girl students to participate in the competition.
- IEDC Hub of our institution aided as a nodel centre for successful conduct of Smart Mind Hackathon organized by AIC RAISE in association with Coimbatore Smart City on 25.3.23.The juries of the event were Mr.V. Gopalakrishnan, Co- founder, Clk.in and Mr.Gowtham Krishnamoorthy, Founder CEO Nutz Technovation.
- AIC RAISE, Coimbatore organized SUXUSS Start Up Sangamam, a one day conclave about Sustainable Entrepreneurship at Coimbatore on 28.04.2023.Nearly 20 students and 2 Faculty members from our institution participated in the event.
- IEDC Innovation Hub Inauguration Cum Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony with Atal Incubation Centre Raise Business Incubator Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore took place on 10.01.2022. Memorandum of Understanding with Atal Incubation Centre Raise Business Incubator Pvt Ltd., Coimbatore was presented by the Chief Guest Mr V P S Radhakrishnan to the College Correspondent.
- EDC and IIC of our Institution in association with IEDC Innovation Hub, Atal Incubation Centre Raise Business Incubator private limited, Coimbatore had jointly organized a competition entitled “WOMENCAN-IDEATHON” in observance of International Women’s Day on March 8th 2022.
- EDC and IIC of our Institution in association with IEDC Innovation Hub, Atal Incubation Centre Raise BusinessIncubator private limited, Coimbatore had jointly organized a 16 Hours Entrepreneurship Training Programme from 21-23.02.2022, 10.3.22 and 11.3.22. Mr. Sooraj Muralidharan ,Mr. Charath Chandrer Natrajan, Ms.Sivaragavi and Mr.Arun Raj Manikaraj , Innovation and Business Head, Atal Incubation Centre, RAISE were the Resource persons.
- Our institution IIC' s IEDC hub in association with AIC RAISE organized Techstars Startup Weekend Sustainability from 22nd April to 24th April 2022. Six students as a team represented our institution and won the first prize in the event
- AIC RAISE, Rathinam Tech Zone had organized Let’s Start Up event and launched seed fund scheme of worth rupees 4 Crore on 24th May 2022. Thiru. Sivaraj Ramanathan, Mission Director & CEO, Startup TN; Dr.A. Velumani, Creator, Thyrocare were the chief guests.Mr.M.Arul Raja, EDC Coordinator and Mr. R. Sivasankar, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration had actively participated in the event representing our institution.
